## Our Story

I’m Ling, the founder of Pact Case.

What is a "pact"?

My grandpa, Yang, used to call me “pact-abiding”—a Chinese term for someone who honors commitments and maintains gentle self-discipline. For him, it was about little habits: sorting my books by favorites, or keeping things neatly together in boxes. Later in life, I learned the word “pact” can have a negative meaning too—being trapped by your own rules. But after Grandpa passed away, I realized he meant it positively: a real pact is a gentle commitment to ourselves, not a constraint.

As Grandpa aged and his blood pressure and joint pain worsened, managing his three-times-a-day medication schedule became overwhelming. One winter, an affordable pharmacy pill box jammed, and he missed three doses of his medication. That night, he grew so dizzy we ended up in the ER. It hit me: a bad pill organizer isn’t a small inconvenience—it’s a real risk.

We started filling his meds together every day. Even then, his old pill box was hard to open and the faded labels made things confusing. Grandpa once asked, “Why can’t something this important feel… kind?”

So I created our first home medication schedule: an [easy-to-open 7-day pill organizer](https://pactcase.com/products/weekly-pill-organizer) and a [daily medication chart printable](https://pactcase.com/blogs/wellness-hub/free-printable-3-times-a-day-medication-schedule). This simple, gentle routine turned our chaos into calm. Every Sunday, filling his organizer became a small ritual that brought us both peace of mind.

## Why Choose Pact Case?

Most pill boxes fail where it matters most. The lid pops open in your bag, mixing blood pressure pills with cold medicine. The compartments are so tiny, you have to break large vitamins just to fit them in. And after three weeks, the stickers peel off, leaving you guessing if it’s AM or PM. We’ve experienced all of these frustrations firsthand.

Pact Case is different:

- Each compartment is 25% larger than standard pill boxes—no more breaking or jamming large pills.

- The lid locks tight—lab-tested over 200 times for durability and leak protection.

- Labels remain crisp and legible after 100 soapy washes—no more fading or peeling.

- Sealing is improved by 300%, keeping your medicines fresh for up to 30 days, even in humid conditions.

- Every lid click is engineered for comfort and satisfaction—over 150 open/close cycles, inspired by the feeling of tearing open a fresh coffee packet.

- Travel with confidence: Pact Case is compact, lightweight, and [TSA-friendly](https://pactcase.com/blogs/wellness-hub/travel-medication-organization-tips) for smooth airport checks.

Materials:

- BPA-free, food-safe PP (for safe, gentle storage)

- ABS (for super-tough latches, so the click stays crisp)

- TPR (for a flexible, airtight seal that keeps pills fresh up to 30 days)

Capacity:

- Plan your full week: 7 days × 3 large compartments per day (AM, Noon, PM)

- Each compartment fits up to 36 standard tablets, 20 capsules, or 60 small pills
